EVENT OUTLINE

The event is a PLEIN AIR painting competition, exhibit and sale, which takes place on Saturday, August 16th 2008, in the Ogden Valley. This event is open to any artist who wishes to participate. Registration form available on the Wilkerson Fine Art & Consulting web site www.wilkersonfineart.com Registration is $10. Participating artists can register up until 8 AM on the day of the event.

1. ARTISTS REGISTER: From 7 AM to 8 AM, at Wilkerson Fine Art, 7238 E. Highway 39, Huntsville, UT 84317. Each artist pays $10 cash or check and completes the registration form. Artist is to provide 11” x 14” painting surface, canvas paper, or board, for stamping at time of check in. Each artist may submit two (2) finished pieces of work for the competition and sale.

2. BOUNDARIES: The Ogden Valley – Suggestions - Wolf Creek Golf Course, Snowbasin, areas surrounding Pineview Reservoir and Wolf Mountain. (Map to be provided)

3. ARTISTS PAINT: The participating artists choose a location within the boundaries. At 8 AM artists paint en Plein Air!

4. ARTISTS RETURN: At 3 PM, the participating artists stop painting and bring their just completed Plein Air paintings and easels to Wolf Mountain, Eden to submit their paintings for exhibition and judging. Prior to submission, each painting must be framed or matted by the artist, for ease of handling and displayed on an easel.

5. EXHIBIT: All artists must be prepared for the exhibit and judging by 3:00 PM. Each artist will set up her/his easel at Wolf Mountain and display his/her painting on it. Each painting must be for sale, and have a title and price. There will be a 40% commission taken from the proceeds of each Plein Air painting sale, to fund this event. Each participating artist must consider 3rd Annual Ogden Valley Plein Air Competition & Silent Auction the gallery for this event, and agree to the commission.

6. JUDGING: The Quick Draw paintings are judged by a guest artist.

7. AWARDS: At 5 PM, the Awards are announced. Professional Category: Purchase Prizes First Place $1,500, 2^nd Place $1,000 Cash Prizes: 3^rd Place $200, Honorable Mention $50.

Non-Professional Category: Purchase Prizes First Place $500, 2^nd Place $200 Cash Prize: Honorable Mention $50.

8. CONTINUING EXHIBIT AND SALE: The exhibit and sale continues until 6 PM. All paintings will stay on exhibit until 6 PM.

9. EXHIBIT CONCLUDES: All paintings and easels must be picked up between 6 and 7 PM.
