Cooking Delight started as a live event that combined food, music and art. The high energy events included a cooking demonstration, a performing musician and an artist in action. The artist would start the event with an empty canvas and using all senses enhanced by the aromas, the dialogue, the sound of music and the responses of the guests, they created a masterpiece. It represented the experience everyone shared together. The finished paintings were revealed at the end of the event. Jennifer Burns was the host of all the live events and has written a cookbook that includes over 100 original recipes and includes original artwork and a CD.
The response of the unique events very well received by the people attending and the media. It created a platform for developing a television show. The show concept is A PARTY IN THE KITCHEN. It is full of energy with different themes, original recipes, live musicians and different artists. It is upbeat and promotes cooking in a fun atmosphere to encourage others to have more fun in the kitchen and to look at cooking in a different way. To inspire others to view cooking as a creative outlet and “To Be an Artist in Their Kitchen!”
The show will air two times a week on KJZZ-14 and will tape weekly at the KJZZ studios in Salt Lake City. The show will have celebrity guests from sports, television, film and music stop by the “Cooking Delight” kitchen to share one of their favorite recipes. Jennifer’s original recipes will be featured in the 26 episodes along with cooking and kitchen tips. “Cooking Delight” is a show that is educational, but demonstrated in an entertaining format with an appreciation with other forms of art. Join us for a PARTY in the kitchen!
Jennifer Burns, the host, will make regular guest appearances on KJZZ-TV’s morning shows, including KJZZ Café the “Home Team”.
Watch for the “Cooking Delight” 2-minute pre-feature vignettes in all of the Megaplex Theaters before the movie starts!
