Julie Brandt lives and paints in Liberty Utah where the landscape, people and sometimes the livestock inspire her. She has been painting professionally for eleven years. Her style has developed from traditional watercolor to experimental acrylic and collage. She is constantly learning and changing and finding excitement every step of the way.
Her
current body of work comes from images emerging from carefully prepared
backgrounds. These images are developed with a variety of mediums,
watercolor, acrylic, pastel, charcoal and creative techniques to bring
each original piece to completion.
Julie
is a two-star member of the Utah Watercolor Society and a member of the
Palette Club of Ogden. She has received numerous awards including
selection of her painting, "Twenty-fifth Street Bounty" as the first
annual poster of the 2001 Ogden Farmers and art Market. Her artwork can
be found in corporate and private collections throughout the United
States and Scotland.
